2025 Dates: Oct. 18, 24, 25, 31, Nov. 1

PocaHAUNTus is an award winning haunted house experience put on as a fundraiser by the Pocahontas Fire Department and Pocahontas Chamber of Commerce.

Timing: The dates for 2025 are Oct. 18, 24, 25, 31, and Nov. 1 from 7 - 10 PM for lights off. This will be a TERRIFYING experience, so keep that in mind as it is encouraged for 13 and older. Kids 12 and under will have to be with a parental guardian unless going in during the lights on time. Lights On will only be offered during Friday, October 31 from 6 - 7 PM this year.

Location: The haunted house will take place in the shed at the Pocahontas Fire Station, 300 NW 7th St. Pocahontas IA 50574. There will be a concession stand available on the evenings of the event.

Cost: $15 per person, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits/community projects, the Fire Department, and the Chamber.

Notice: Strobe lights and fog machines will be in use inside our haunted house. Everyone who participates will be required to sign a waiver and will receive instructions about our rules before entering. You can view both of those documents below. Waivers must be signed at the fire station and not prior to your arrival.

Parking: Parking is available behind the fire station and in the Rittgers Spine & Wellness lot. No one will be allowed to park in front of the fire station as it cannot be blocked in case of a fire.
